Important Safety Message
Ensure each member of your household can recognize the odor of propane gas and knows how to shut off the gas supply at the container. If you haven’t already received a “scratch-n-sniff” safety pamphlet, give us a call or stop by our office and pick one up.
The odor of gas may be because a burner valve is partially turned on or a pilot light on your range is out. Check both and close an open burner valves. Then air out the house before re-lighting pilots.

Do not strike matches or operate electrical switches
If the burner valve or pilot light is not the cause, you do not want to have any open flame or spark occur in the house.
important reminder
DO NOT ENTER HOUSE and DO NOT TURN ON GAS until a service person has corrected the cause of the leak.
If you smell gas, call your gas service person. Stay away from the area until the condition is corrected.
In the event of an out of gas situation or an interruption of service, an adult should be at home so entrance to the property can be obtained for proper leak testing and lighting.
If an adult is not home, the system should be leak tested and secured to ensure that the system cannot be put back into service until a representative can go back to light the pilot lights.
